Performance QA Engineer: About this position

The company is looking for a talented Performance QA Engineer to become part of the cross-functional Platform team. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of performance automation tests at the heart of their Java-based Gaming Platform. Your knowledge will be crucial for us and you will be able to make a difference.

Location: Kraków (Poland) or remote

Performance QA Engineer: main objectives

  • Write automation tests using Scala/Java;
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle;
  • Provide feedback on bugs, functional failures, and usability edges;
  • Understand the nature of software defects;
  • Improve existing patterns and introduce enhancements for the testing framework;
  • Demonstrate brand knowledge of technical solutions.

What are the main requirements for a Performance QA Engineer:

  • Experience as a Quality Automation Engineer and in performance testing;
  • Good understanding of Java runtime (JVM) performance;
  • Experience with Load Stress and Performance testing;
  • Experience with open system (Linux/Unix) performance measurement analysis and performance measurement tools;
  • Experience in applying statistical analysis techniques to estimate and evaluate application workloads;
  • Knowledge of automation frameworks (Gatling, JMeter);
  • Deep understanding of HTTP and relevant web technologies;
  • Communicative English (both written and spoken), around B2.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience in Scala;
  • Knowledge of GIT or other DVCS also REST and/or microservices would be a plus;
  • Knowledge of Jenkins.

Recruitment process (approximately 2 weeks long)

After an online interview on phone with Close Europe recruiters to discuss this position and talk about your experience (30 minutes):

  3. Online interview with someone from the technical team (around 1-1,5 hours).
