Quality Assurance Tester: About this position

The company is looking for Quality Assurance Tester. Their QA Specialist will work closely with the Global IT Manager and the development team. The ideal candidate is extremely well organized and able to juggle multiple tasks while meeting tough deadlines with minimal supervision.  If you are not afraid of new technologies, aware of new testing practices, this will be a bright opportunity for you.

Location: 100% remotely (Poland).

Quality Assurance Tester: main responsibilities

  • Ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by the company by the specifications and user requirements.
  • Design, creation, and execution of test cases for functional and non-functional areas of our desktop/web applications;
  • Assuring quality in the final product and finding all the flaws in the application before it goes into production;
  • Troubleshoot and isolate software issues to help their development team address the problem efficiently;
  • Ensure testing is delivered on time to secure our scheduled release to production in a timely fashion;
  • Document test results and track defects to resolution using our internal ticketing/DevOps system;
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing to validate the issues are resolved or escalated to the appropriate team members;
  • Ensure rigid regression testing is performed before changes to the platforms are deployed;
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency of testing.

What are the main technical requirements for a Quality Assurance Tester:

  • 3 years of experience in software QA including the areas of test case preparation and execution as well as scripts and scenarios;
  • Proficient with Windows and the MS Office suite;
  • Knowledge of SQL;
  • Experience testing for the web using a wide variety of browsers and awareness of their particularities;
  • Understanding of Object-Oriented languages such as Java for some automation and best practices of application usability;
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle Methodology;

Recruitment process (approximately 2 weeks long)

After an online interview on phone with Close Europe recruiters to discuss this position and talk about your experience (30 minutes):

  1. Online interview with development team members – theoretical part (around 1 hour).
  2. Online interview with practical part (around 1 hour).
