Sales Development Representative for US-based AdTech SaaS company

Our client is a US-based (San Carlos, California) product software company. They are developing a SaaS AdTech platform. The company is actively developing and expanding its team and therefore is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the team. You may find the full description below.

Who are we looking for – Sales Development Representative

Location: EU or the UK (100% remote work or in the office in London).

Brief company description

The company gives Fortune 500 companies control over the digital advertisement experience via a sophisticated and unified platform. They simplify ad experience management by integrating with existing tech and media stacks to centrally manage ad experiences across all channels. The platform was purpose-built to power all ad creative use cases including DCO, personalization, audience management, creative performance visualization, experimentation, workflow, and self-optimizing performance competitions. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be in a visible position to have a direct impact on the success of the company. You’ll work closely with Sales and Marketing to execute outbound prospecting campaigns and build pipelines. Your goal will be to spark engagement with key contacts at target accounts and book introductory sales meetings. You’ll drive this outcome with meaningful and tailored communication via phone, email, social media, etc. Why is it worth joining this company?

Sales Development Representative – Main responsibilities for this position

  • Meet or exceed prospecting goals for outbound calls, emails, and sales meetings booked;
  • Research accounts to understand their goals, challenges, and key contacts; incorporate that background into relevant communications;
  • Leverage messaging and account targeting from Marketing for outreach for ABM campaigns;
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and leads as needed;
  • Being able to work during United States business hours as most target accounts are based in that region.

Sales Development Representative – Main requirements 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales/business development at SaaS/tech company, including outbound phone calls;
  • 1 year of experience selling to B2C marketing teams strongly desired;
  • Successful use of multi-touch, multi-channel ABM outreach to make contact with target prospects;
  • Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and/or similar systems preferred, but not required;
  • Track record of meeting/exceeding quota goals.
  • Excellent English communication skills – both verbal and written required.

Soft skills required:

  • Comfortable and confident on the phone is an absolute must. Most of your time will be spent focused on outbound prospecting rather than inbound inquiries. 
  • A good listener and a quick learner. Whether you’re learning a new product, new tool, or new account, you’re fast to pick up and absorb information.
  • Understanding of the difference between ‘talking to’ and ‘speaking with’ prospects, and you value the latter.
  • Clear, effective communicator when working with remote team members.
  • Highly self-motivated and goal-oriented with a solid work ethic.
  • Appreciate the importance of investing the time and effort needed to be persistent and understand your prospect in the sales process.

Sales Development Representative – What is in it for you?

Recruitment process (approximately 2 weeks long)

After an online interview on phone with Close Europe recruiters to discuss this position and talk about your experience (30 minutes):
  1. Interview with Sales Development Team Lead (around 1 hour), followed by a mini project.
  2. Interview with the Director of Demand Generation (around 1 hour).
  3. Management Interview with Executive VP of Sales & Marketing (up to 45 minutes).
